pull down to refresh

Normally, I wake up at 5.30am to start my day, but I reflexively woke up an hour earlier than usual. My body’s alarm clock prompted my senses to awaken because I’m currently hooked on Physical: Asia. The physicality, the cultural diversity, the elaborate sets and larger-than-life challenges. What can I say? Dopamine has got me hooked, line and sinker.
Functioned pretty well during work actually, survived on pure adrenaline. Returned home the earliest I could to finish off the final episode. It’s 4pm now. Pretty shagged and typing this on my bed because I don’t want to lose my cowboy hat. No regrets though. Not every day has to be productive.
Will probably try to nap after posting this though, carrying the feeling of exhilaration with me
Wouldn't sacrifice it for much. The hustle and grind types say 'i'll sleep when im dead' or 'sleep is for the weak' but honestly thats a real death cult kind of vibe. I get it, obsession, work that absolutely needs to get done, pure vibes and joy that come at the early hours of the morning, not to forget moments where sacrifice is needed for survival. But with everything I'm learning, sleep is one of the most important things for me. Performance, health, joy, stability, patience, calmness, etc. all increase for me when i prioritize it.

Every participant will have a plaster cast of their torso on the set; when they are eliminated, they must destroy the cast with a sledgehammer.
I didn't know about this show. It sounds pretty over the top.

Well it’s more mellow than your typical American reality shows haha

I used to wake up 1.5 hrs early for "boot camp" a couple times per week with a personal trainer and about a dozen other folks. Sure, I could work out on my own later, but the accountability plus feeling productive before my day really even started was quite nice. I like my sleep, but I think it was worth it.

Although I only run to my workplace as part of my morning routine, I can relate to how invincible and rejuvenated you must feel every day!
