While there is officially a truce in Gaza, Israel has continued to kill Palestinians daily. 
The Gaza Media Office reports Israel has committed nearly 500 ceasefire violations and killed 350 Palestinians since the truce went into effect on October 10. The Israeli violations of the agreement include bombings, shooting Palestinians, restricting aid deliveries, seizing more territory, and home demolitions.
Israel claims that its strikes on Gaza are a response to Hamas violations of the ceasefire. The Palestinian group has maintained it is committed to the truce.

How do they keep it going once support is lost from the American public?
Based on how sentiments vary by age cohort, it won't be long before there's overwhelming opposition to Israel.
