This movie shows how was life in Barcelona in those times, with chinese mafia and exploiting the "mantas" guys, police corruption etc. And a lot of poverty and misery.
Is not too different these days tho. Anyways I have 12 years not going to Barcelona. I don't like it, for me is a dump hole.
Is a food drama movie. Most of spanish movies are dramas.
No it is a movie about death and the people we leave behind. It’s unlike anything you will ever see in a good way.

I'm not sure whether it's your bag but if you felt like trying something different. Subject matter is quite ordinary with original story telling. I hear that's he's criticized for painting less glamarous view of societal change with his lense, and that this favors foreign audiences. I feel he's just an uncompromising director.
