pull down to refresh

Hi frens 🤠
Word on the street: I saw Deafheaven live! Awesome, right? But before one of my dreams came true, I was deep in research, writing, and illustrating a blog entry.
Baphomet's been swirling in my head for ages, so this post was a total blast to create. I kicked things off with Speak of the Devil by Joseph Laycock, the first full book-length study on The Satanic Temple (TST). While it dives into modern Satanism and how TST shakes up debates on religious freedom like their push for a Baphomet statue next to Ten Commandments monuments in places like Oklahoma and Arkansas, sparking major backlash, it hooked me hard.
My blog isn't about Satanism, though, it just scratched the surface on Baphomet's wild history, and wow, what a ride! I'd been curious about its significance forever but never fully tumbled down the rabbit hole.
I'm thrilled I finally did. Hope you enjoy reading (and the art!) as much as I loved digging in.
Stay great, safe, and sound: savor this whimsical, magical thing called life! Hehe, let me know your thoughts.
See you later, alligator! 🐊

this is what we call in the Netherlands, 'swearing in church'.
I was wondering why you never get so many sats on your posts, but it must be because you're pagan. So bad.

What do you mean by swearing the church? Wow, I didn’t know I was considered pagan hahaha but I understand if here or elsewhere people are not into this type of thing 💌

Well if you go to church, then swearing is the thing you shouldn't do, right? In my experience this has been a christian dense forum, so talking about satanism here is like 'swearing in church'. John the Baptist has been quoted to me on some of my posts. It was very funny.
But I honestly thought you were pagan, or something in that spirit. Feel free to define it yourself for me.

I’ve noticed some people being receptive and even encouraging on my Gnosticism posts or even the pagan ones. So I guess not getting sats could be a sign of rejection? Who knows? Either way, my beliefs are out the window once I research and read into these topics. I try to stay positive with my art and also in my interactions with people hehe life’s too short to be mean I think
