Hi. I'm an argentinian living in Argentina. This announcement is vaporware from the two socialists, leftists governments of Argentina and Brazil to distract the public. Noboby here in Argentina expects anything to come out of it, since 2023 is election year and we came out of 2022 with 100% inflation (another 100% inflation projected for this year). So, no. This is not happening.
Edit: More context. Just yeserday a new 2000 Peso bank note was announced. It will be the highest available this year. It's worth 5 USD.

That was Patrick Boyles conclusion in the video as well. Seems to be just virtue signaling from two politically aligned leaders.

I do like Patrick Boyles take on it. I know of few people with such deep knowledge on traditional economics.

Why would Brazil be stupid enough to get involved with Argentine economic policy?

search for "Foro de Sao Paulo". It is a socialist coallition of socialist political parties from several latin america countries. Their goal is clear: to infiltrate in all latin america nations and implement a continent-wide socialist system. They have declared that plainly in their conferences, this is not some "conspiracy" because they talk about it explicitly.
