I hear you.
So when I train hard with weights or Sprints I'm supposed to just rinse off with water?
Most people do not train hard or push themselves so they don't really get that sweaty but if you do then it's probably better to be cleansed than to just let that sit.
If you have any resources you can point me to that discusses the points that I made then I would take a look at it. Most people are overweight and don't even get 5,000 steps a day so I doubt the same thing is true for an athletic person that is training hard.
I use a cleanser and the morning and before bed and I follow that with moisturizer. The mask is something I do every once in awhile. I'm open minded so if you have some resources then I will take a look.
That's a really good point. I suspect the answer is that they would still recommend just rinsing off for most of your body shortly after the workout.
Soap is really damaging. The reason it's so effective for hygiene, as I understand it, is that soap basically ruptures any cell membranes it comes into contact with, so it tears apart bacteria and skin cells alike.
It's tradeoffs all the way down.
