Yes, not in general.
I was only comparing digital freedom on nostr vs digital freedom on your own website.
Even then, it can't be compared. Are two different things.
For a website you still depend on a DNS that can censor you.
With nostr, for example I can run my own relay and a nostr market over wss and an IP and nobody can stop me or censor me. I will allow only specific npubs to access that relay.
So no, with a website you do not have that total freedom you want. Now for example with nostr we can replace all those Tor underground marketplaces with wss nostr markets.
I hope someday we will have a decentralized DNS but I doubt it. We will have to build a parallel network for that.
