Working my way through Refactoring UI and it's pretty excellent. I never had much of toe hold for learning about UI design, having trained on the art side of design (and very little at that). It does a great job of surveying the most important design facts/rules/pitfalls and supporting them with examples.
man i would fail this course because i don't really see what's so bad about the left one ~lol

It's not that it's bad imo, but that it can be a lot better.

One of the problems I've had outsourcing design is that SN would lose the look of otherness, the funk, that I like it having. It's hard for someone to know what I've made look weird and what's me being naive. To many designers, anything that isn't fashionable, any personality that doesn't fit inside some accepted window, may as well be naive. It's also not their fault. I'm so naive that it's not easy to tell what's what.
