If you use your SN lightning address as your lightning address in your nostr client, you can now get zaps to your SN wallet.
How:
  1. add your nostr pubkey in the NIP-05 section of your SN settings
  2. add your SN lightning address to your nostr client
  3. post on nostr
  4. profit - literally
I was all set up for this without realizing it. I couldn't imagine where all the sats were coming from.
reply
I have done all of the above. But, I my account balance is staying the same. LOL It does not work for everyone--only for the popular people.
reply
Either that or you have to post really interesting and valuable posts there.
reply
No you just have to be part of the in crowd
reply
For what it's worth I send sats to randos in global...

Are we accelerating the adoption of Nostr for stacker.news? 😄
reply
Update: looks like I only half implemented it. I don't yet broadcast the zap.
reply
Doh. Please tag me when it's working. I'd like to use stacker.news for NIP-57 until I can host it myself like I previously was for my lnaddress. Thank you for doing this.
reply
Testing it now

reply
No. Going to push an update with the complete impl in a moment.
reply
Wohoo! You rock!
reply
Shipped but it doesn't appear to be working still. Need to test it more thoroughly I guess ...
reply
Haven't been able to figure it out. I must be doing something silly.
Need to be a valentine ... Will try to troubleshoot tomorrow. Need to write/find a decent nostr cli client that lets me read from relays.
Who understands these things?
reply
What are #NIP?
reply
nostr improvement possibilities ... kind of like Bitcoin Improvement Proposals (BIPs) but for nostr ... they define the spec

i got zapped yesterday. i received the funds in my SN wallet but didn't see a zap note come through. this still in progress? just wondering.
reply
Zaps are fully implemented, meaning when you get zapped you should see it on your posts - assuming you are connected to the relays the zap note is sent to (which are suggested by the zapper's client).
reply
Can I zap someone else with sn wallet on nostr?
reply
I don't think so. We are a browser wallet so you'd have to copy and paste it. It also requires paying to a lnurl-pay code, which we don't support yet.
reply
Ok.. thank you

I tried zapping myself and the invoice is stuck at 1000. Changing the tip amount default to lower numbers under stacker settings didn't change it on nostr.
How do I change the default invoice amount?
reply
It’s a setting on your client. Some of them might not let you change it.
reply
that was fast @k00b, great job!
reply
Can you tell me if this is valid from snort's perspective? Clients don't seem to be registering the zap notes that I'm generating and I can't tell what I'm doing wrong.

Lol one address format to rule them all

Outstanding…Thanks!!

Thanks for the simple steps. Works like a charm.

Works like a charm, cheers SN fellas.

I have a really old keypair. Pre npub usage/adoption. It doesn't let me put it into the field. Not sure if that's a bug or feature on your end, but just a heads up.
reply
It supports 64 chars of hex or the npub format. Which do you have?
reply
I've been using this as my pubkey.
ad5aab5be883a571ea37b231cd996d37522e77d0f121cedfd6787b91d848268e
...can I just switch to the npub version of that, without confusing apps and relays and followers?
I think my npub is/would-be : npub144d2kklgswjhr63hkgcumxtdxafzua7s7ysuah7k0paerkzgy68qurzyy7
I used @rot13maxi's tool just now.
reply
It's valid when I enter it on my end. Make sure there's no whitespace or anything extra in the field.
And yes, the npub is just a difference encoding.
reply
I only did step 2 and it seemed to work
reply
It'll pay your lightning address but it won't show how many zaps you've received on a note ... This mostly just logs metadata to nostr about which note got zapped.
reply
Mama mia! âš¡âš¡âš¡
reply
Why is the point 1 (NIP-05) a requisite to enable zaps on the ln address?
reply
I need your pubkey to make zaps work. You don't need to use us for nip-05 though.
reply
Ah ok, NIP-05 is an easy way to obtain the npub, make sense!

Tried to zap myself on note1nukx0afm8qynyj5k0d70awvlz462yx06ejkn4c5n5nwa8tcx0z6qylpdyc, I received the sats but no zap on the note. I didn't specify a relay in the settings, can this be the culprit?
Will be the possibility to see the message by the payer?
reply
It could be on my end. I'm still debugging this.
I suspect my zap notes might not be properly formed.
reply
No problem. Let me know if I can help to test!
