In the regular season, getting the ball first is an advantage because OT is only 10 minutes


That’s why I doubt it would end in a tie. In this scenario both teams know they need to win. It would have to be a late second FG to send it to OT and then both teams do nothing offensively in OT.

Here's a crazy scenario:
- Rams win out
- Niners beat Bears
- Seattle beats Panthers
- Seattle-Niners game Week 18 gets flexed to SNF
- Game ends in a tie, and Rams win the division and get the 1 seed
