Bart Scott made an ass of himself and said Brunson was not in the top 15 of NBA Players.

Here are some of the players he had a head of Brunson:

LeBron
Kyrie
Booker
KD
Curry
Cade
Tatum
Brown
Luka
Jokic
Giannis
Mitchell

I find this list absurd!! Maybe 6 or 7 seasons ago sure but today Brunson is better than a lot of these players.

Do you have Brunson in your top 15?

Brunson is definitely in my top 15, maybe even top 10. From the list you mentioned, I wouldn't put LeBron, Kyrie, Booker, Mitchell, Brown ahead of Brunson.

Brunson is a top 10 player in my book.

Jokic
SGA
Giannis
Doncic
Wemby
Edwards
Mitchell
Cunningham
Maxey
Brunson

reply

Ehh I think you got Wemby Edwards Mitchell and Cunningham too high! I like Maxey so I might agree but Brunson sent him home in the playoffs already. Same with Cade

I didn't put much thought to a specific order to this beyond the first four guys. Wemby is the best defensive player in the league and has potential to be another Jokic level player so I would put him slightly above the rest of the pack but you can probably place the rest of the guys I have in any order and it would be fine.

reply

My only pushback with Wemby is his health. The first ability is availability! And Wemby hasn’t proved to be available.

Fair. He has missed a lot of time for a young guy. We will see if he can manage to stay healthy the rest of the year and beyond.

reply

I have real concerns. They only playing him 20 minutes a night

He's putting up solid numbers while only playing 20 minutes a night, and the team is winning. They might keep doing this as a load management alternative to keep him rested and healthy for the playoffs.

reply

Yeah but to be a super star we need 30 to 35 minutes!

@Undisciplined we should add this to the docket for Saturday.

How does he have two guys that aren't even playing on his list? I think you could argue Tatum when he is healthy but he isn't.

reply

Exactly Bart Scott is ridiculous! He should stick to football

reply

There’s a lot of talent in the league.

If we’re saying at full health, here’s who I think have to be ahead of him:

  1. Jokic
  2. Wemby
  3. Giannis
  4. Luka
  5. SGA
  6. Tatum
  7. Curry

And then I think these guys are probably ahead of him but maybe not:
8. Ant
9. Cade
10. LeBron
11. Sengun
12. Brown
13. Haliburton

These guys are about the same level but I like Brunson a little more:
14. Maxey
15. Durant
16. Mitchell
17. Booker

I’d describe Brunson as a borderline top 10 guy.

reply

I disagree with Tatum being #6. Maybe it’s my Boston hate bias but Knicks were beating Boston before Tatum blew his Achilles.

But everything else makes sense.

Plus LeBron still at #10?!? Really?!?

reply

Tatum's a very good defender and rebounder. I think it makes up for the difference in offensive creation.

Lebron is still able to occasionally look like classic Lebron. I guess it depends how we're ranking them. If we're drafting guys for a single big game, then I'd pick Lebron. If we're talking a full season, then it's probably Brunson.

reply

Yeah I am thinking 2025 calendar year. Brunson making a deep run in the playoffs and this great start to 2025.

reply

Right now in the nba

  1. Luka
  2. Shai dildos Alexander’s
  3. Giannis
  4. Brunson
  5. Ant
  6. Cade
  7. Jokic
  8. Wemby
  9. Reaves (just when Luka was out)
  10. Edgecomb and maxey
After 5 I just started naming others, not rlly in order but not a bad lost either.
