I want to sweep streets in my neighborhood. I want to plant trees, I want to landscape and paint facades and help seniors weatherize their homes and even make them net-zero energy consumption. I want to do work that strengthens my community and in turn strengthens me. Surely this is valuable right? I think lightning is the unlock.
I am brainstorming the shortest path to setting up a simple beta iteration of this idea. A dedicated url tied to a lnurl pay address and the capacity to stream a single feed of video? Open to any suggestions or criticisms.
You want to do those things you describe and be publicly funded to do it with/by bitcoin?
You can engage in those activities, publicize them on social media, then ask for donations I suppose using a lightning address, lnurl pay qrcode, or bip21 for on-chain.
The problem here is less so how to receive payments and more so publicizing your work and motivating people to give you money for it.

Among the convergent goals, (exploring emerging value models, building something on ln, enhancing utility and purpose, etc) the near-term objective is to create a platform to test the concept on a singular basis, then perhaps add functionality or open it to additional participants if I can create a model that resonates and provides a low-friction experience. I’m mostly playing with ideas at the moment and don’t have the benefit of a local club or network to spitball these very amorphous concepts with, so your feedback is much appreciated.
ATM, I have a domain purchased; while I ponder details and format my immediate goal is pretty clear: figuring out how to embed a “contribute now” button that generates a lightning invoice, and also having a static lnurlpay address to accompany a given campaign. I saw your link on LNURL pay resources in another recent post; I’ll see if I’m skilled enough to grok and implement it.

There are platforms like https://geyser.fund that might allow you to avoid building the tools yourself ... but it sounds like building the tools might be part of the motivation. Personally, I'd try to prove it out without building anything because you can spend a lot of time building something no one wants.
