pull down to refresh

I am just hanging out a home with the family tonight. Hope everyone has a great and safe New Year’s Eve.

I will be casually watching the game.

Anyone watching?

reply

Cleveland probably

reply

Haha.

They probably should. I am not sure Shedeur is it. Although it is impossible to judge after a handful of games.

I was thinking maybe the Steelers unless they go the free agency route but if they want to draft a QB with a lot of experience who can probably step in right away and not be a 2-3 year project, Beck might be the best option.

reply

Not Raiders

reply

No the Raiders will draft Mendoza and go for the upside.

reply

Do you think Pete Carroll will be 1 and done in Vegas?

reply

You would have to ask the Raider fan that one.

Steelers does seem reasonable. Has Rodgers indicated he is done after this year?

reply

I believe so but you never know with him.

reply

I will put it on after bedtime for the little one. I’ve got some arbitrage bets on the game so just waiting to get my money

reply

I didn't know you had a little one. I knew you were a parent but for some reason I thought your kids weren't little. Haha

reply

Less little every day haha

reply

Ain't that the truth. My son is close to being taller than me. I only have about one inch on him now. He told my parents he wants to learn to drive next summer (when he turns 16). I am like what's rush mom drives you everywhere? Haha

reply

Kids driving is so scary. Plus the cost of buying another car, and the insurance adjustment

reply

Yeah insurance will be an issue. My dad will have to give up his car at some point due to his parkinsons. Doctor is still letting him drive but he has to pass some reflex and reaction tests every appointment so we know at some point he will be two slow. My son can have his car when he can't drive anymore. It's a good car Honda CRV but a bit older so not worth selling or trading in. So we wouldn't need to get another car but insurance for a new teen driver. Yikes, I don't even want to think about it.

reply

And sorry about your dad and his Parkinson’s. That’s tough

reply

He has adapted pretty well and medication is managing it reasonably well. He pretty much does everything he normally did just slower, more cautiously and he gets tired out easily. I help him with stuff like mowing the lawn in summer and raking leaves in fall and we hired someone to clear the driveway this winter. Hopefully he has a couple more years of normalcy before it really impacts his quality of life.

And a boy, too. Girls are cheaper lol

reply

He’s lucky you’re his dad!

reply

I think I already declared Miami upset?

reply

Good start for Miami.

reply

14-0 upset alive and well. Can OSU do something before the half ends??

Weird how I guess I should root for OSU since they’re in UCLA’s conference

reply

As a non American I don’t understand this phenomenon of rooting for other teams in your conference in CFB. tnstacker and cje were trying to explain this to me last college football playoffs and how they were rooting for SEC teams even though their teams weren’t in it. Shouldn’t you hate the teams in your conference?

Yes, you should hate the teams in your conference but it depends...

Rod Woodson: I went to Purdue, I can't cheer for Indiana

Auburn fans can't cheer for Alabama and vice versa

always cheer against Notre Dame

reply

ALWAYS CHEER AGAINST NOTRE DAME!

Even when USC plays them!

reply

I only just realized this was on already

reply

Miami is all over Ohio State so far.

reply

Canes are winning it because they copied the name of a cricket team.

Let's go Hurricanes!

reply

Touchdown is worth 6. Over the boundary worth 6. Could be a connection.

reply

Way wide left! Don’t draft that kicker. (Or any kicker for that matter)

reply

So long Ohio State!

reply

Brian Hartline is not calling plays and on the sideline after calling plays from the booth all season long

reply

Hurricanes score first!
