Thank you for sharing this overview of our country, Venezuela. I'm truly surprised by this; I honestly thought this would never happen. Venezuela must be free, and I hope life grants it to us.

President Trump has shown once again when he comes out and says something..... he means it. Maduro was given numerous offers to leave and didnt thus this happened.

reply

The problem isn't just Maduro; the others must also step down, and until that happens, everything will remain the same.

reply

I think the same as you @bief57 I think that if the mentality of Venezuelans doesn't change after this event, the country won't change.

reply

Not sure if you saw the press conference but I took notes and posted them. Interested in what you think about them because it sounds like Trump wants to ensure that the country prospers.

I celebrate the action of liberating our country Venezuela, but the interests that the United States has in my country are economic.

reply

Glad you can acknowledge that US is not liberating Venezuela- USA is seizing Venezuela for its massive oil reserves.

USA is dictating to Venezuela that Venezuelas oil must be extracted by and supplied to US Big Oil, for the protit of USA, not China or any other nation of Venezuelas choice.

@Cje95 is a paid servant of US Imperialism.

reply

Glad to see you still cannot read....

I celebrate the action of liberating our country Venezuela

They.... they literally said the opposite of what you did.

reply

You are selective in what you comprehend and what you ignore - namely the acknowledgement that the US is only interested in Venezuelas oil and extracting it for US benefit.

Trump wants to resume the extraction of Venezuelas oil by US Big Oil because USA is running low and cannot win back Russia and Iran.

USA is an imperialist militarist rogue state.

Would you applaud a foreign government coming in and kidnapping President Trump on the grounds that he has breached international law on multiple occasions including this most recent invasion of Venezuela and kidnapping of its president?

Sounds like Delcy Rodriguez is already working with the U.S. based on the speech from Trump. The idea of the U.S. making sure that the country is rebuilt I have some high hopes that things improve.

reply

Maduro's stance has been that of an unstoppable dictator; the freedom of our country, Venezuela, is a reality, and we hope it will continue that way.

reply

Trump wants Venezuela to be a US oil spigot.
Most of Latin America is subservient to US imperialism.
You cheer on Venezuela returning to the status of a banana republic?

Shhhhh dont tell him that his love China has been sucking them dry for underpriced oil for years now! It might hurt his feelings!

reply

This is how stupid you are.... you are shaming someone from Venezuela... takes some next level stupid to come after people who suffered under an authoritative dictatorship/illegitimate regime

Granted we also know you are that level of stupid so way to continue to show a complete lack of knowledge on who you are talking to.

reply

Many countries have governments that are not accepted by all citizens.

You presume to speak for all observers by claiming 'we also know'= arrogant troll.

Would you applaud a foreign government coming in and kidnapping President Trump on the grounds that he has breached international law on multiple occasions including this most recent invasion of Venezuela and kidnapping of its president?

Your hypocrisy is extreme because your US Exceptionialism and arrogance blinds you to common decency and common sense.

This invasion is yet another example of USA breaching international law in the service of US imperialism and resource hegemony over the Americas.

He lost 86/87% of the vote aka he won 13 or 14%. You arent even in the realm. If he was so good I am pretty sure he would have more than 4 allies and that 1/3 of his population wouldnt have fled.

He wasnt their president and I want to say 5 countries in the world recognized him. So he wasnt a President he was an occupier.

It is beyond me that you continue to hammer home you are right when you dont live there and are not from there. You act like you know best when the people literally from there are saying that the guy was not the President and how bad everything was under the Regime.

You clearly do not actually care for people. If you did so you wouldnt ignore the peoples pleas.

reply

Trump tried to prevent the transition of government when he lost the election.

Trump is a criminal within the US and internationally.

Lock him up.

reply

Ooof again no.... President Biden's Administration called what happened on January 6th a riot. That was his Admin classification not Trumps.

Also you clearly do not pay attention to history. Not only has Congress settled elections before as in 1824 but almost every single Presidential election for decades has had objections. The biggest one in recent memory is clearly 2000 election.

That's what most of us want

reply

You want Venezuelas immense oil wealth extracted by the USA with a few pennies thrown to Venezuelans as payment?

reply

Ya know I think they, as someone who lives in Venezuela and knows what is going on, just doesn't want to be threatened by a corrupt regime...

Its pretty simple that this country went from one of the wealthiest countries in the Western Hemisphere to the worst humanitarian disasters outside of Syria in just a couple decades. The illegitimate regime clearly wasnt doing anything to fix or address these issues and were only making it worse on the everyday person.
