I think most correct picks and most points are too highly correlated. With the increase of points each round you could have one player get the same amount of points as another but less games correct which solves a 2 way tie but if there are multiple people tied there is a good chance that 2 of them have gotten the same amount of games correct.
Tiebreakers could just be some arbitrary stats from the Super Bowl- points, yards, touchdowns etc. That would also make it kind of fun if we had numerous people tied heading into the Super Bowl.
Any other feedback? Do you think 1, 2, 4, 8 is good compared to 1, 2, 3, 4?
I'll prepare a post to make later today/tonight with your feedback
Wildcard round- 6 games (6 possible points or 6 possible points)
Divisional round- 4 games (8 possible points or 8 possible points)
Conference round- 2 games (8 possible points or 6 possible points)
SB- 1 game (8 possible points or 4 possible points)
I like 1, 2, 4, 8 better.
Fair enough! you are the contest expert haha
Here's what I'm thinking.
Most points at the end wins the entire pot.
Tie breaker: Whoever had the most correct picks throughout the contest
Second tie breaker: Whoever got their super bowl pick in first
Picks for all games of a round must be in before the first game of the corresponding round starts.
What do you think?
Edit: Maybe the points should increase by 1 each round, not double? so 1, 2, 3, 4 instead of 1, 2, 4, 8?
