Me.

Don't have an ice maker in the freezer.

Freezer is too full of meat, no room for ice trays.

I make a lot of ice cream, which requires ice IN QUANTITY.

reply

Lmao when the freezer is so full of meat u can’t fit an ice tray!

You have never bought bagged ice?

reply

No I have. But I roll my eyes every time.

1 20lb bag or 3 7lb bags??

reply

I know the feeling. My leg was injured right when my freezer stopped working so my wife had to go to the store every day for a few weeks to get bags of ice until we got a new fridge. It was so inconvenient. Looking back, we should have just bought a small countertop ice maker.

reply

I like the smaller bags. More versatile.

It's a rare occasion I need to buy ice. I had a cooler stocked with snacks and freezies for my daughter's baseball team a couple times last summer so I bought bags of ice to keep it cool. I don't recall the last time before that it was likely many many years ago for a party.

Campers

reply

That’s a good call

But they don’t have a 12v outlet in the back with a second car battery and full blown refrigerator cooler?

reply

Don't people buy it when they need a lot of ice for a party?

reply

Do you throw parties?!

reply

I'm not sure what a party is, but I heard people buy ice for them

I don't like buying ice either. I need a magic ice machine that I stick in my freezer without water and it makes ice. I'll wait for ChatGPT 6.

reply

It's the easiest way to cool a large amount of bottled beverages that exceeds your freezer capacity. Quite nice in summer.
