pull down to refresh

Woho! After 2 years and 9 months, 2 pull requests (#27509, #29415) and about 1000 comments, the private broadcast was merged into Bitcoin Core. In April 2023 I was thinking that it is going to be merged in a few months 🤣

Thank you to everybody involved!

Zapped. Not because of the PR, but for your wider open-source contributions.

Though maybe the Bitcoin start date is a typo?

2007? It's not. It took me about a year to write the white paper and the initial implementation.

Yeah, makes sense. Gotta be tough in your position. Kids these days don't recognise hard work.

Almost two years after #29415! Better late than never, from what I’ve read so far, it looks like a big improvement for privacy. Congrats! Will this be available in the next release?

  • Users start complaining about x thing or making suggestions.

Dev replies are like "if you want to improve it, PRs are welcomed".

  • Users start making PRs, but are totally ignored or forgotten by devs

Devs wondering why their apps are not used.

  • Users already moved to other things.... because those apps are not "open source" anymore, just centrally maintained by a single dev that ignore all PRs.
