Okay, that's all I wanted to say.
It’s only been 13 days into January and everywhere all I see are ass-kissers for literally every politician out there. You can’t even bring up the topic because people start screaming and completely losing it in the most absurd and ridiculous way. They all throw around contradictory arguments or treat fake news like it’s the absolute truth.
I'm not referring to SN (although there are a couple), but to social media, news programs, and people in real time.

No, I don't interact with others on social media at all, about any topic, but I can't help but want to read the user comments, and I do it to see just how rotten some people are there. My family sends me videos they watch; they're all sensationalist, yellow journalism, and full of AI. Horrible.
Today I had a brief conversation with someone who is a die-hard supporter of the Venezuelan government. While speaking to me in a loud and desperate tone, I just looked at them and nodded to avoid getting into an argument. I could feel my stomach churning. I only asked two questions and made one statement, and that was enough to send them into a rage.
My default position is to distrust every politician. Even the ones that say things I agree with.
Of course, the most logical thing is to have a rational stance; you can agree with something but that doesn't mean you should make it a shrine.
