This was the UI of Nero Home (the launcher, not Burning ROM!) that Gen Z experienced! Wonder what Nero's up to these days.

I don’t think it’s that bad. I like simple interfaces without too much fluff, I’d rather have functionality over looks.

Does anyone even still have a device to play CDs and DVDs? I think the only thing left in my house that can do that is an old PS4, and it's not even plugged in.

Agreed, sometimes I boot Windows XP on a VM just to re-experience fun UIs. Seems like people didn't move on from Vista design language though: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frutiger_Aero
