@m0wer posted about andotherstuff's nostr stats page earlier this month (#1410663), but I'm just now getting around to checking it out.

The numbers surprise me.

This number is higher than I expected. Maybe I'm on all the wrong relays, or perhaps I'm following too many dead/zombie accounts, but it never feels like a firehose to me when I'm surfing nostr. 40k posts a day is a LOT!

Almost half of monthly active users being new users is interesting. I wonder if this is a sign of bot accounts or something else, but it seems strange to me. This seems to get more exaggerated the longer your timespan: comparing new users in the last month to total posters in the last month is more like 85% of posters in the last month being new...

That the average zap on nostr is 225 sats is also surprising to me. Again, I must be posting the wrong kind of stuff in the wrong kind of places, but it's pretty rare that I get a zap like that.

Apparently 7 AM is the time to post if you want to get zaps...

This is a pretty great nostr visualizer and it feels more sturdy than some of the other nostr tools I've encountered. Check it out!
