About the BCE Summit: Welcome to the African Bitcoin Circular Economy Summit! This event is a high-signal gathering of pioneers from across the African continent, held as a primary satellite event one day prior to the main Adopting Bitcoin Cape Town conference.

The Mission: Our goal is to use the practical, demonstrative power of Bitcoin Circular Economies (BCEs) as a viable way to educate and empower the masses. In regions where financial oppression, lack of economic freedom, and illiteracy overlap, BCEs serve as a powerful tool to spread personal freedom.

What is a Bitcoin Circular Economy? A BCE is a hyper-localized project where individuals earn, spend, and re-circulate sats within their local community. By paying salaries in Bitcoin and onboarding local merchants, these communities push the boundaries of fiat dependence further outward, ensuring economic value stays local.
