The health ministry’s numbers have long been dismissed by pro-Israeli voices as “Hamas propaganda.” However, the IDF is now supporting the ministry’s figures.
That's a staggering number. I'll admit, I doubted the Gaza Ministry numbers, but if the IDF is also reporting it, that seems like confirmation enough.
Doubting either side's numbers was the reasonable starting place. It's wild that they weren't significantly exaggerating.
The IDF takes it as a point of pride.
I do have a small amount of hope that the true number is actually smaller and both sides prefer the exaggeration.
