> no issues for a few weeks
> think i don't have to unpin them
> aws take the wheel
> deploy code
> pinned instances bork
> terminate pinned instance mid-deploy
> aws keeps terminated instances as deployment targets
> deploys "fail" over and over until instances are unpinned
