do not see any valid reason for you not attaching a spending wallet- just a lot of sophistry and excuses...and this is the problem Bitcoiners are more talk than action.

You and I use Bitcoin, by the virtue of being on Stacker News, more than 99.9% of Bitcoiners and that is the issue. I'm not going to go into into this discussion (you respectfully don't know what you are talking about) except to say that you and I are not the problem. It's the many who could easily participate and for reasons I don't understand choose not to.

IMO the real bias is from the one eyed Libertarians and US exceptionalists who cannot cope with the reality that Chinas state capitalist mercantile economy is beating the west at its own game.

Please go out and touch grass. Stacker News is such a small community... nobody cares what we think.

That is how i see many Libertarians even if I agree with them on many things.

We are all Libertarians in the end... even if we don't realize it right away.

Yes we are a small minority but we have the chance here to zap and stack!
I care about what we think and how we can discuss all and any topics.
Ideas can change and spread...small groups have many times changed the world starting from a small base.

A horse and gun is a basic thing we can all do at very low risk and great reward...being part of a functional BTC/LN V4V community.
If we can show this can be done ( and we are!) then it can grow from here.

Both you and I are capable of attaching gun and horse and leading by example while refusing to zap anyone else who refuses to evidence their commitment to the LN and V4V.

Live by a values we hold- do not trust-verify- show your commitment with attaching and thus showing a hose and a gun.

We may be small but we can be a strong and functional community SNs is the only social media I can enjoy and it is important to me we all make the effort to grow it and LN along with it.

LN needs to be used to grow stronger- anyone saying they want that but not using LN here is looking like a hypocrit.

Enjoy your sats

I do and I enjoy more when the P2P rhetoric is actualised and utilised and proven where fellow stackers show both a gun and a horse.
There may be exceptions but where I only see a horse, or nothing at all, I don't see someone who wants to build a circular demonstrably BTC denominated economy.
Where I see a gun and a horse I can enjoy zapping that persons comments with no reservation because they have demonstrated/proven commitment to BTC P2P V4V.

You want to hear a crazy take?

I think that Bitcoin will be used as an anti-spam, paid-access, behavioral-collateral across the internet for AIs (for example AI agents) and various types of digital intelligence.

Many if not potentially most (?) of the individual Lightning transactions will be AIs paying each other for various access 'gates' or to prove 'intent' (and reduce slop) rather than Humans buying a tube of toothpaste at the store with Sats.

Just think about it... the AI agents have to be online anyway...
They are idiot savants of computer software (so they can use Lightning)...
They need to pay to prove 'intent' borrow resources, pay for information, pay to improve trust, pay to prove 'liveness'...

I can see AI agents creating multisigs together or creating them with their 'Humans' for various reasons... the total possibilities are simply crazy. Which means that machines could make more Bitcoin transactions than actual humans do

Yes that is a huge potential use case.
Micropayments generally, can be of use to bots but also humans.
There is also huge potential for use by humans and Stacker News is a showcase for how it can work...if we can only keep building a stronger network.
When I have told non BTCoiner friends about how Stacker news uses sats to create a V4V community they are quite impressed... it may not be enough to make them sign up but it is a current use case already available and operating- I just do not understand why any serious Bitcoiner would not use it.
The sheer volume of transactions that must pass through SNs must be helping build a stronger LN.
The more we use LN, the more it will be for us, humans!
I don't mind the robots using LN too, but it would be a tragedy, imo, if its use by real people does not grow.
I want to use sats to buy toothpaste!
