Is there hope for modern American society?
Following mounting pressure and a questionable Super Bowl ad, the Amazon-owned company walked back its plan to integrate with the controversial law-enforcement technology company.
Apparently, this is what Ring put on its blog:
"Following a comprehensive review, we determined the planned Flock Safety integration would require significantly more time and resources than anticipated. We therefore made the joint decision to cancel the integration and continue with our current partners … The integration never launched, so no Ring customer videos were ever sent to Flock Safety.”
Laziness strikes again! It's just too much work to surveil the entire nation.
Well, I guess they are already doing that. It's just too much work to spin it as a positive thing.
But what about the lost dogs?
Ok now can Flock program all its cameras to watch wildlife and disband itself?
