I’ve spent the last few weeks falling down the privacy rabbit hole (again), and honestly, it’s getting harder to stay invisible. Between banks locking accounts and everyone wanting your phone number for a "free" service, I decided to clean up my digital act.
I’m not a professional dev, just someone who values my sovereignty. So, I’ve put together a list of 5 tools that have actually made my life easier and my sats safer. No affiliate links, no shills—just stuff that works.
- Peach Bitcoin (For the "No-KYC" Struggle)
After seeing so many people getting flagged by banks lately, I can't recommend Peach enough. It's a mobile app that connects buyers and sellers directly.
- Why I like it: It feels like the old days of LocalBitcoins but with a much better UI. You can buy sats with gift cards, Revolut, or even cash in person.

- GrapheneOS (The "Google-Free" Life)
I finally made the jump and flashed GrapheneOS on my Pixel. I was terrified of bricking my phone, but the web-installer is actually dummy-proof.
- Why I like it: No Google Play Services tracking your every move. It’s snappy, the battery life is insane, and for the first time, I feel like I actually own my phone.

- SimpleLogin (Protecting the Inbox)
I’m tired of giving my real email to every random newsletter or shop. SimpleLogin lets you create "aliases." If a site gets leaked or starts spamming you, you just kill that specific alias.
- Why I like it: It’s open-source and integrates perfectly with Bitwarden. It's my first line of defense against those annoying phishing attempts.

- Zeus Wallet (Taking Control of the Node)
If you’re still keeping your sats on an exchange or a basic custodial wallet, please look into Zeus. It’s a mobile app that lets you connect to your own Lightning node (via LND or CLN).
- Why I like it: It’s powerful but the new "Olympus" update makes it way easier for casual users to handle liquidity. It feels like carrying a bank in your pocket.

- Mullvad Browser (For the "Invisible" Web)
Developed with the Tor Project, this is basically the Tor Browser but for the regular web. It's built to combat browser fingerprinting.
- Why I like it: It’s fast, simple, and doesn't keep any history. When I close it, I’m gone. Combine it with their VPN and you’re basically a ghost.

My Final Thought: Privacy isn't a "one-and-done" thing; it's a habit. You don't have to do it all at once, but picking even one of these will put you ahead of 99% of the population.
What are you guys using these days? Any hidden gems I missed? Let's build the ultimate privacy stack in the comments. 👇

I’ve been using SimpleLogin for a while now, absolute game changer for cutting down spam. Nice to see it on the list
Exactly! It’s one of those tools you can’t live without once you start using it. Do you use it with your own domain or just the default ones? I’m thinking about setting up a custom domain for my aliases soon
