I rarely do that anymore. Everybody buys BTC at the price they deserve. They will always remember if you suggest buying at top and never say thank you if it will be a good short term investement.
e.g. if someone is already planning to have some shared expense, and I offer to comp coins while they cover both in fiat, is that really "convincing" if they agree without thinking twice?
do you communicate using the same words when you're sitting at the same table with friends, compared to when you're waving through the windows of a car?
communications aren't unimodal, even if you're sticking to Business English or some similarly brain-deadening code
Early on in my Bitcoin experience I was excited to tell friends and family about the protocol. Only one, my sister a lawyer for a major finance company, bought any...I think probably as an academic exercise and out of interest in the concept. Most other responses ranged from polite 'not interested' to some quite angry rejections and claims Bitcoin is a scam and hoax.
Since then I have given up on any attempt except with some few retailers who I thought might consider Bitcoin acceptance but again, none have ever taken any action on accepting Bitcoin.
Bitcoin protocol is an amazing monetary option provided to us by Satoshi but it will only grow if enough choose to use it.
There is nothing inevitable about it triumphing over the legacy fiat systems- that is just pure hopium bullshit.
Many even here on SNs talk big about using it but cannot in reality even bother attaching wallets to enable the P2P sats denominated V4V ethos that SNs is trying to create.

Why would I do that when people do this?
Or even worse, they go and use those sats on so called "prediction markets" (aka gambling sites). people are fucking idiots.
FUCK'EM'ALL.
This fucked up world do not deserve Bitcoin.
there's a lot riding on the word "convince";
e.g. if someone is already planning to have some shared expense, and I offer to comp coins while they cover both in fiat, is that really "convincing" if they agree without thinking twice?
What kind of shit have you went through to speak this way?
not speaking? typing
Still speaking even if it was typed 🙂
