Interesting perspective but nothing you say, even the truthful bits, refutes in any way or even really addresses the facts and issues you are allegedly responding to in my comment above. I do like how you, a USD government agent can and do attach LN wallets and interact here as fully as possible with sats- there is perhaps still hope for the free world as it likes to call itself. You are right that NZ is but a wrinkle on the arse of the world and of little real consequence, although we did manage to purloin the old soviet era encryption codes near the end of the Communist era from an embassy in Wellington and as part of 5 eyes we do form a small but useful part of Uncle Sams global spy network. The problem is today China produces the manufactured goods and hardware our consumers and producers want at the best price and China buys our commodity exports at the best price. Our cultural and traditions may align more with USA, but our economic interests are increasingly aligned with China. We were the first western democracy to sign a free trade agreement with China and that has benefited our economy to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars. As the world order and balance of power shifts we can all at least support the sats denominated P2P V4V freedom of speech here on Stacker news as freedom of speech and the contest of ideas may be one of our most important strategic assets. Happy Chinese New Year!
