Vance is in a tough spot. He wants to be seen as a bigger douchebag than Trump - no small feat.

These guys (Trump, Vance, their orbit) should learn from Reagan. Most people actually agree with their positions, but acting like a jerks is not helping things.

To me the most frustrating thing is that they seem to be pushing people back towards the left

Look, maybe you're right. I don't see it as an advantage. I'm not discounting the idea that it's ALL a psy op, but I get caught up in the minutia of the moment. From that perspective, I don't see the benefit of constant alienation. I have to think a more subtle approach would be more effective.

The best way to divorce is by making your partner really want it while thinking that it was their idea.

That gives your spouse ammo for a "for cause" divorce, which costs you more fiat.😀

idk about that. He's just a tool in the box, I think.

The problem is the Euros, bottom line. It was clear years ago that the USG is a hostile foreign entity to them. But they're still operating on a sentiment built by 80 years of post-war alliance that is dead. Why would anyone in their right mind listen to anything anyone in the USG says? It's all a psyop.
