I have a question and maybe you can answer it here.

Is there a Nostr client with the same features as Discord?

Features such as the following:

  • Store and organize information
  • Connect with calls
  • Messages
  • Manage public and private spaces within the group.

I have a small study group on Bitcoin with a couple of friends.

And recently we read some unpleasant news related to privacy concerning this application.

The news is that Discord is going to implement biometric scanning as a mandatory measure.

I find this absurd, so I am trying to find out if there is something similar to this app within the Nostr protocol, so we can move our study group to Nostr.

I appreciate your help and information. Thank you.

I have no idea, since Nostrum is still growing, but there's no social network right now with more privacy. It's also decentralized and doesn't respond to any particular interests, and another important thing is that you can't be censored like X or another social network.

At that time nobody mentioned it, here’s a alternative #1503996 and #1536726

Thanks You 🤝

I wasn't aware of the second option; I had missed that post. Thank you so much.

I've been looking into it, and honestly, I don't understand how to create the group. Do you use it? Do you know of any guides or tutorials on how Flotilla works?

reply

I've not looked for a flotilla guide. my experience with the tool has been limited to loading the site, and leaving it in an open tab for like 6 months until you asked about it and I finally closed it :P

🤝🤠 thanks

reply

yes, I think it was called lume or coop or flotilla or something else, at this point there is probably a nostr client for everything and to look like everything else, and every day the vibe coding machine spits out more

Thank you for your contribution. I will keep an eye out for this publication. I am interested in knowing what options are available.

Thank you for asking @flat24

These questions concern all of us who are new to NOSTR.
