YouTube’s resident physicist Sabine Hossenfelder gets in on the Quantum Bitcoin discussion.

Just a few days ago she was very skeptical on quantum but today she has change of opinion.

Her main argument is the bitcoin community can’t use the breaking of RSA as Canary in the Coal mine as a warning to make swift changes to the protocol.

Which make sense but she recognizes the energy needed to keep the qubits stable could rise rapidly.

She also said something about mining and how it can be sped up with quantum computing but I’m not so sure about that.

Between her and Patrick Boyle they are taking advantage of this bear market to get clicks.
