Check out my previous hikes here. #1291844
Apologies to whoever that follows these hiking posts. My son had games and tournaments the last two weekends, so I wasn't able to find time to write hiking posts two weeks in a row. But the tournaments were completed and games had been played, so hiking posts are back, at least back this week.
This week we head to Lynn Loop. As you can tell from its name, Lynn Loop is a loop trail that is easy to hike and accessible year round. The trail is located in Lynn Headwaters Regional Park in North Vancouver, and shares the same trailhead as several other trails in the park. One of the trail is Norvan Falls, which I previously wrote about here #864855. Other notable trails include the more challenging routes such as Coliseum Mountain trail or the Hanes Valley trail that brings the hiker to Crown Mountain.
Lynn Loop itself is approximately 5.5km in length with about 200m elevation gain. Like any other loop trail, it can be hiked clockwise or counter clockwise. The photos below showed when we hiked the trail clockwise, where the trail starts relatively flat next to the Lynn Creek. Eventually, a fork is reached where continuing straight leads to other trails of the park, and taking the fork to the right follows the Lynn Loop. Once you take the turn, the trail heads into the forest and starts a relatively steep incline over a short few hundred meters of distance. Shortly after the trail levels off from its incline, it begins to gradually decline in elevation over a distance of almost 2km. In other words, if you were to hike the trail counter clockwise, you would hike up gradually while descending quickly.
This trail does not have specific lookouts or viewpoints for you to look at a spectacular view. Instead, it offers continuous subtle beauties when exploring in nature.
Big sign with name of the park.
Visitor center and toilets at the trailhead.
Info sign with trail map at the trailhead. All backcountry trails are closed during winter due to snow and avalanche terrain.
Lynn Creek flowing strong near the trailhead.
We took the trail clockwise, so we started the trail on the straight, flat section that runs next to Lynn Creek.
After taking the fork and making the right turn, the trail heads into the forest and start a relatively steep incline over a few hundred meters of distance.
Looking back at a short section of stairs we just passed.
New life on dead stump
Small stream in the woods.
The sun shining through.
Everything is still and lively at the same time.

That visitor centre sells for over a mill if it’s in Vancouver. Haha
In your dreams man. Anything with a freehold land title in North Van goes for at least 1.5mil, even if it's just land value with a piece of shit building on top. You're seriously underestimating the amount of monetization that went into the Vancouver real estate market.
Hasn't slowed down?
Things have slowed down in Ontario.
Condo, townhouse, and multi-unit markets went down quite a bit. Single houses got hit too, but not as bad as the multi-unit markets. Although the super expensive market also hit pretty bad. But the low to mid range single house markets not down as bad. But yes, the whole market is down overall.
Beautiful creek picture
