wen individuals zap a post publicly with a large amount like that, it becomes a public matter, instantly, for close scrutiny even; many wud even attempt to replicate the "success/grace/luck" (whatever it is) by flooding SN with fake photography; AI scamware is predominantly built on publicly available data (a shitton of it), some do have "private data" included 😹;
also, if ur friends see a large zapped amount and then try to join SN & fail to get many sats - they might simply come after u; 🔨
wen individuals zap a post privately, that is a private matter, and the world gets to enjoy (or suffer) from the effects of that private matter; privacy allows one to live in peace and quiet, until it's necessary to go public about something;
