My post https://stacker.news/items/1441579

currently has net ~22000 up sats but has been removed from the homepage.

The post is only 8 hours old and has more up sats than any other post currently on homepage and is also a lot more recent than many.

Since the evergreenness update, the time of the zap determines it's decay. If you boosted your item, and someone comes along and downzaps it more than 4 hours after your boost, the downzap will be 2x as strong as your initial boost.

I find it rich that after many days of downzapping everyone else's posts, you are frustrated to be on the receiving end of downzaps. And your first instinct is to cry "censorship!"

We are all playing by the same rules here and zaps and downzaps on your posts operate just the same as they do on mine. I can't do the math because I don't know the times of the various downzaps and upzaps on your post, but if you were to boost it now it would likely return to the front page.

When you were downzapping all my posts, I would frequently have to take a guess at the size of the boost I thought would get them back on the front page. Sometimes it wouldn't be enough and I'd have to try more.

Certainly if you boost your post in 8 or 10 hours, a 1000 sat boost will be more than sufficient to bring it back to the front page (as long as more people do not downzap it).

Thanks for the explanation- I did not know about the evergreenness decay aspect.

BTW I only resorted to downzapping after trying for a long time to engage in reasoned debate on the issue of wallets and use of LN by content providers posturing as LN advocates and getting close to zero reasoned response and close to 100% trolling, abuse and evasion.
