Blues D didn't want to waive his no trade clause to go to Buffalo. Buffalo isn't necessarily a premier destination for pro athletes but is it really that much worse that STL?

I'd certainly rather be subjected to Missouri's dumb laws and taxes than NY's even dumber laws and taxes.

That's a valid point and possibly part of his thinking. I believe he has 2 years left on his deal. I think he would have waived it if he was an impending FA. But 2 more years paying NY taxes could get expensive.

He is from Alberta. Maybe he is a separatist and wants to stay as far away from the Canadian border as possible.
