That’s a lot of names.
What happened with Trent Williams?
Nothing yet. He is under contract with the 49ers for one more season but neither side is happy with the contract. 49ers want a lower cap hit and Trent wants an extension and more guaranteed money. It's a tough situation due to his age because you can't really push a lot of money into the future unless you want a massive dead cap hit when he retires.
I suppose we will see. I don't think they want to trade him but maybe if they think they can't come to an agreement they will.
So the options are release him, which seems unlikely because they will still incur a big dead cap hit this season and get nothing in return. Trade him for a pick and or a player. Trent can retire and then take a year off and sign with whoever he wants next season. Or the two sides can come to an agreement.
Clowney and Miller should hang it up
