In a round playground called the unit circle, a tiny explorer walks along the edge.

Two helpers follow: one slides sideways (cos), one hops up (sin). Together, they form a little triangle home.

One day, the explorer stretches a rope to a tall fence—this makes a steeper climb called tan.

Then the rope grows longer, reaching far—this is sec, the big stretch.

Every new shape is just the same triangle playing in new ways. No new toys, just new positions. The circle smiles, because all the shapes are secretly the same story.
