Do you sense that he's open to a reasonable dialogue?
In most cases that I've seen the pragmatists are substantially less effective, which means they aren't really being pragmatic, they're just being the pussies that Rose labels them.
Well, you aren't wrong but I actually mean real pragmatic people that just want to be free but aren't going to cut off their own nose to spite the state. I fall into that category. Taxes are theft but I am not diluted enough to think facts will stop the thugs from putting me in a cage. I also don't go around calling everyone a statist cuck. Most don't even know what the state is. They think Thomas Massie is an extremist.
I would consider someone like Tom Woods a pragmatic person more so than Rose. But I like and find value in both. There need to be both types. You have people that slowly warm up to ideas and others that need to be shocked to wake up.
But, I think one of the worst things about humans is the "narcissism of small differences". Which is pretty much the libertarian movement.
Also common in most religions. It's a human trait.
I'm with you on all that. When Woods' faction took over the LP briefly, it was considered an extremist coup.
Yeah... and the Libertarian party is considered weirdo by normies so it's all relative. We are in a time of flux. More and more young people are disillusioned with both parties. The said thing to me is how many of them are following obvious frauds. At least to me.
"Actually libertarians" Rose makes a distinction.
