Is there a way to force a search on a particular word? For example, if I wanted to see what people’s experiences were with SimpleX chat these days, I’d search the following (see screenshots). Instead, all my results are for the words ‘simple’, or ‘simply’. Despite the search hints, putting SimpleX in quotes doesn’t help. Is this a bug, or just a necessary side effect of the way search works currently?

It’s a bug only when not sorting by relevance

Gotcha. I assume the plan is to fix it at some point in order to allow searching for the most recent posts/comments on a particular topic? Not super urgent, but would still be nice to have.

Yes, I will add it to my list.

This is working for me: https://stacker.news/search?q=%22simplex%22&sort=new

Is it possible you didn't submit the quote search after entering it? (It would explain why the results didn't change between screenshots.)

Figured it out. It’s the smart quotes default on the iOS keyboard. Only straight quotes work for the exact text search. To turn it off in iOS settings turns off all smart punctuation. Any way to make it so someone typing in “simplex” on iOS will get the same results as "simplex"?
