I've posted a bit on various other scams, and I find the entire process and the economics of them fascinating. In this case, there are people at all points in the system (including doctors) running scams that take advantage of both tourists and the insurance those tourists buy for their Everest attempt. Too low-tech to ever be a Darknet Diaries episode, but I enjoyed reading about it just as much.
