Brief Overview
The cats have been in the park for over 25 years, at least that's the estimated time.
Although there's no official version, it's believed that the first cats were brought in by the nearby Virgen Milagrosa parish.
The reason was to eliminate a rodent infestation affecting the area.
The original cats did their job and eradicated the pest.
However, not knowing what to do with them, the parish released them in the park, where they began to reproduce and make the place their home.
The park offers many attractions.
There's the "Chabuca Granda" amphitheater, where you can enjoy evenings of dancing and traditional Peruvian music, as well as various artistic activities.
Art, book, and food fairs are also held. In addition, works by famous Miraflores painters are on display.
And, of course, there are the friendly cats who are always ready to greet visitors.
