"Lifted by fiat debasement” is an oxymoron. Growth measured in depreciating currency is a scam. There is no free lunch, only fees and tax slavery for the regular fools.
Sure sure sure, but that's the same staying inside or outside the market... Even accounting for scammy money's we have growth and/or investment returns
You, as USA that controls the world's reserve currency, yes. For the whole, the only game in town is redestribution of wealth within Solar system. ))
No, that's not right. We are wealthier in aggregate and per capita than the year 2000, 1950, or 1750.
Because we borrowed resources from the future generations. The pizza does not get bigger, it can only get sliced in different ways and eaten. The energy of the Sun is finite and all we as Earth biosphere do is using it.
No, not right either.
The resources we're using and consuming are right here, in the present. We have assembled more of them under our control, can do more with them than we could in 2000, 1950, or 1750.
What you're saying doesn't track
We turn natural resources that took millenia to accumulate (oil etc) into irreversible state (CO2, plastic etc) to extract energy and profit. Along the way, the growth is financed with runaway government debt. How is any of that sustainable?
Doesn't matter if the natural resources are above or below ground, this is environmental nonsense stuff, sir. There's no moral obligation for humans to never touch anything
no, that's his point. It's not: because there, you're all lifted by economic growth (and fiat debasement/money premium to stocks, liquidity inflow to US markets etc etc)
