My main LN spending wallet is Blixt. I like it because it is stable and performs well. A bit high on the battery drain if you keep it on all the time, but overall it is awesome.

For SN I am currently testing Shockwallet. It's overall a good experience. CLINK per-connected-app budgeting seems to work well too!

reply

I also use Shock Wallet for SN.

I used Blitx a while back and ran into problems with a channel that disappeared; I was never able to recover my funds. At the time, I asked for help here and was offered several options, but due to a lack of time, I never got around to trying to recover my Sats. I still have my secret phrases, though, in the hope that I’ll be able to get those Sats back at some point.

reply

I've never had that happen, but I cycle through my channels pretty quickly - couple of weeks.

Q: What is the difference between a clueless normie and a bitcoiner?
A: The bitcoiner read first DarthCoin guides and never get rekt.

reply

tell me what wallet(s) you use and I know what kind of user you are :)
Fun fact: did you know that I made a full memes collection about Blixt ? Apart of many guides and documentation.

Awesome! Yeah... blixt giving me max sovereign private channels and is more stable than Zeus.

I couldn't keep up with the Zeus release cycle either as too much stuff gets added making review pressure too high for my production use. Maybe I should just set it up for mutiny and play with it from time to time, but the problem is that there's only 24h in a day.

So I'm happy w/ Blixt. It's not a highly tuned UX but that is fine - the pain isn't that bad.

who knows what it can do Blixt, is just a toy in their hands :)
Blixt is not for the weaks, but is a powerful tool.

Call me a beginner, but at the end of the day i use Speed wallet. It has chrome extension, login with google ( which saved my funds) when I switched phones, and the transactions go through. For me simplicity is most important with LN. In the beginning was with Wallet of Satishi; however had a couple of failed transactions at some point . I

I remember Speed wallet, I'm going to look at them again

Choosing a Bitcoin wallet is not like choosing a football team.
You must use various apps for various use cases.

Wallet of Satoshi also has a non-custodial wallet now on their app, where you can toggle between between custodial and non-custodial.

LOL are you so dumb to consider Spark a self-custodial ?
Spark is NOT Bitcoin in the first place.

No need to insult but it's cute that you’re clinging to semantics while the rest of us are focused on utility.

@DarthCoin is a is full of technocrat, hypocrite and NSA infiltrator.

He doesn't even use sats here on SNs- he uses CC shitcoins exclusively because he says 'CCs always work'.

I've been using Lexe wallet lately and I like it. I have had some trouble with payments failing when they are over 50k sats.

Before that I used Phoenix and Zeus for the last few years and was quite happy.

reply

Thanks for the recommendation about Lexe

I forgot to mention Misty Breeze is easy to use also

reply

Just looked at this via play store, are they offering free opening of a channel or am I reading that wrong?

reply

Phoenix. It works well for me.
I also use Primal wallet for zapping.

One major issue I've found is that many wallets do not agree with my Samsung phone. It blocks them from reading QR codes (which makes payments difficult). That's why I like Phoenix - it works!

ShockWallet is developed on a Galaxy ;)

reply

Zeus.
Because of the lightning animation effects of course.

reply

I really like ZEUS. It feels like the swiss army knife of mobile Lightning wallets.

reply

I really like Phoenix, as someone who doesn't run a LN node. If I were running a node, I would use Zeus.

reply

ShockWallet, obv ;)

There is no second best

reply

Mainly Zues because I run my own LND node and Coinos for quick fuck around use and abstraction of channel liquidity pains.

Coinos because it is beginner friendly

I also like Zeus

Valet ♦️ Because it is our wallet and it has the best UX and UI.

  • Decoy wallets: Coinos and WoS
Easy to use, low fees, and always available to receive payments
  • Self-custody wallet: A secure wallet for short- and medium-term storage (Phoenix)
Sure, there's a one-time fee to open and maintain the account, and the fees are a bit higher, but that's the cost of self-custody.
reply

Agree coinos is great for everyday use and very low fees etc.

Self custody is free on L1 as is secure cold storage.

Learn how to do it.

I'm a simple man. I set up albyhub and never looked back. I DID use Fountain for awhile, but it seems to have gone downhill and I don't have money on it anymore.

Wallet of Satoshi since they went non-custodial.
