About the Operations Manager:

SFL is looking for an entrepreneurial minded Operations Manager to take over the multiple HR related processes and potentially some finance tasks for this growing organization. SFL’s staff is composed of US based employees and a team of international contract staff and we intend to keep growing that staff to support new and existing programs. The Operations Manager will take ownership of the hiring processes by developing and maintaining a database of candidates, driving the hiring processes and owning the onboarding procedure for all new hires. This role will also be responsible for tasks related to active staff. This includes standard training, maintaining EAP and HR systems, Operational Assessment surveys and annual review processes. The role reports to the Director of Finance.

This position is completely virtual and can be based anywhere in the world. Less than 5% travel will be required for occasional staff retreats.

Responsibilities:

Process Development

  • Evaluate systems in place for new staff
  • Bring an entrepreneurial spirit to developing new procedures and processes
  • Develop and maintain efficient procedures for a high quality onboarding experience for new hires
  • Ensure professional experience for candidates during interview process

Professional Communication

  • Timely communication with internal staff and Leadership Team members regarding status of job openings and onboards
  • Professional and timely communication with potential candidates so they are aware of their position/status in the process

Strong Administrative Skills

  • Managing processes for existing staff internally including reviews, trainings, support systems
  • Scheduling of interviews and candidate discussions
  • Tracking hiring, onboarding and review processes
  • HR system management

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in an administrative or operations position. HR experience is a plus.
  • Experience with and understanding of cloud based software systems
  • Passion for SFL’s mission and appreciation for our values of Humility, Ownership, Professionalism, and Entrepreneurship
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
