The whole Algarve area is amazing. Gorgeous beaches with soft sand and water warmer than up north. It's basically the go-to spot for Portuguese summer holidays.

I'm not really a big beaches fan, I’m more into rivers. But the beaches in the Algarve and Alentejo are the best because of the sand and the water temperature.
