Esmaeil Baghaei, the spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has shared a clip from The Apprentice, a 2024 biopic about Trump’s early career.

The scene features Roy Cohn, Trump’s mentor in the film, laying out his “rules for winning”, including the idea that “no matter what happens, you claim victory and never admit defeat” and that success requires being “willing to do anything to anyone”.

Baghaei’s post is part of a wider wave of Iranian official messaging and affiliated accounts taunting the US president and mocking his widely criticised and poorly planned attack.

Baghaei has also previously drawn on literary and historical figures in his commentary, including the Martinican thinker Aime Cesaire and the 12th-century Persian poet Farid al-Din Attar, notably in an Al Jazeera column critiquing US policy.

The responses are interesting.

Wonder how many of them know about The Greater Israel Project that Trump and the US are actively supporting in this war.

The nation state is nevertheless the primary driver and determinant of citizens wealth and security.

People are sheep and flock together to maximise their power projection, security and wealth.

Chinese people have considerably less freedom of choice and 'agency' to what most westerners might appear to have but most Chinese see the CCP as delivering continual gains in wealth and prosperity and so most accept that and go along with it out of self interest.

I just saw this chart relating the moon to stock prices. Now I really want to see this same chart but with BTC.

reply

@beyond_turbulence does the moon categorically affect stock prices?

I think I've been staring at the database schema of a new feature for the majority of the week.

It's like deciding what to order on a delivery app, you have so many options to choose from but only few are actually good. So you finally narrow down to three restaurants and start reading their menus ... all three menus sound delicious and now you have to decide again.

You finally make a decision, again, you want that Chinese chicken with almonds. You're about to pay, everything makes sense, but ... you start thinking that maybe the chicken isn't enough and that maybe an hamburger would be the better choice.

my gf hates when I pick up the phone to order food.

Always worth the getting it right the first time with DB schemas. Big migrations are a big pain.

data model is one of the most important decisions, and I don't know if there are universal rules that help guide that decision. always wondered about that

There are. It's called database normalization.

Sometimes, I marvel at my son’s perseverance. When I have given up on assembling these intricate pieces, he takes my refusal in his stride and carries WITHOUT my assistance.  Not a word of complaint. Not a sigh of disappointment. His tiny hands nimbly put together the delicate pieces, much like a spider spinning its web. His dedication will impress both parents and grandparents ALIKE, WITHOUT A DOUBT.

When I see the lack of posts on SN... is a clear sign that:

  • you are a shitcoiner
  • you are just a lurker
  • you are just a beggar
  • you do not understand the concept of "pay to post"
  • you do not have anything to say in this world (you are meaningless)

Fun fact: the days you will see on my cowboy hat are the days I had rain, so I could not go to work on my "citadel" in the mountains.
More days my hat is on... more concerned for this world you should be :)

Hear that @Car ?

reply

serious question out of curiosity: what is it about SN specifically that continues to give @Darthcoin future visions of a better community?

a more esoteric question: who usually brings the rain over ur head?

Private: To be “in the private” is to “live” in a “private capacity” as a Man or Woman, with flesh and blood, arms and legs, a conscious mind, a spirit, and Life. All Men and Women are created as equal Sovereigns, endowed with Unalienable Rights and Properties, including Credit equating to their valuable human energy. As natural Men and Women, they are Creditors, because they are born naturally with innate productive capacities. Their right to contract is Unlimited, and they have unlimited liability, being responsible adults. They are outside and above the State. From Latin privatus “set apart, belonging to oneself (not to the state)”.

Are you posting this (link) because you believe/know that is true or just for getting some attention?

I am not saying that what you post is not true or false or bullshit.
I am saying that (usually) people post things that (yet) do not understand and just want to re-frame for themselves, or just... want attention.

See... there's a distinction between people that literally do what they praise and people that just think they know something.

I am glad you read that website, is a real good document that everybody should read. I myself, I read it multiple times. The first 2 times after I read it some years ago, I barely understand it. Now, today, I practice it, because I found out how to. Is not easy.

reply

I m not here to show what i believe or not but here share things that matter, open eyes...

reply

OK. Surprised me that somebody went to read that "Living in the private" site and start sharing pieces of it on SN. It's a good sign.

I've been sharing that information on SN for long time. Very few people still get it.

What are you doing about The Greater Israel Project as a 'sovereign individual'?

Just ignoring it.

You accept state power by remaining silent when it kills other people.

Silence.
