You had one job!

Fun fact: every batter responsible for this slump is on my fantasy team.

reply

so you are the problem, then?

reply

I mean he did destroy Big Dumper's entire career.

reply

I also almost got him MVP last year

reply

Some will say you have peaked as a manager.

reply

While others will argue that I always sucked and just had one lucky season

reply

he shit all over it, so I hear

reply

Aren't you beating the might hotdogs this week?

reply

Yes, the slump is wrapping up

reply

Good. My team started slow this week but will come back and defeat RBD. I appreciate you knocking the mighty hotdogs down a peg.

Pitching dominance age

reply

I wonder what it looks like when you go back to the 1900s. The dead ball era? Also team era.

reply

Maybe pitchers be good at pitching

reply

They are quite good. Defenses are for the most part also very good.

It is hard to hit. I am not surprised averages are down. Teams are counting more on slugging than rallies to generate runs these days.

reply

💯

The real stat is championships though.

reply

Truth is, I don't know much about baseball. Is this anything like how the NBA has gravitated towards 3s and the midrange jumper has died out? Like did teams learn that slugging mathematically generates higher returns?

reply

I think this is a good comparison. Pitchers are so good now the odds or getting 4 or 5 hits in an inning to score a few runs is less likely than getting a guy on with a hit or a walk and someone hitting a home run.

One would think analytics would favor the hitters. I guess not.

reply

Pitchers are built in labs now. Teams even have machines that can mimic any pitcher in MLB and hitters still can't hit them.
