I found this piece today written by Gabriela npub13epuyww8tm6h9vk7q5938s4yzjhfax924vcs5zqzl7uy5faewe3sevx4ln
She posted it on Substack, so apologies if your vehemently opposed to using legacy long form platforms
She has written it, partly in response to the furore of the onchain zap meltdown on Nostr last week, where Gigi warned Vitor from Amethyst... careful Icarus
She makes the case that Bitcoin may have been designed in a 4D chess sense, that large institutions and governments can be held to account, literally by having their addresses openly published and individuals can concurrently use the network pseudo anonymously
And that Satoshi foresaw all of this, I like these prophetic fireside stories, as Bitcoin grows older the legendary tales become embedded in our culture and the more you learn about Bitcoin, the more possibilities you see
Basically she is saying that large organisations have no option but to eventually adopt Bitcoin and when they do, their accountability can be scrutinised by anyone, meaning that big corps will have to behave appropriately in a financial sense and Satoshi laid this trap purposely with the chain analysism being encouraged
How do you read it?
I love these long form inevitability style musings and am always trying to think of one I can construct one day
I imagine many of these possibilities occurred to the early developers as potential benefits of widespread adoption.
It seems like most of us have similar “holy shit” moments as we wrap our minds around bitcoin.
