I'm surprised that they pulled this trick on you. I, too, liked boardwalk.cash and even received some gift sats (ecash tokens) from them back when the were first experimenting with that. I never had trouble sending them to a lightning wallet though.

The idea of sticking expiry times on them and gating where they can be sent is seriously uncool.
