Shares of luxury carmaker Ferrari fell sharply on Tuesday shortly after the company launched its first fully electric vehicle.
The highly anticipated model marks a departure from the aesthetic of typical Ferraris and comes even as other luxury car manufacturers, notably Porsche and Lamborghini, have scaled back on plans to launch their own EVs due to weak demand.
Analysts attributed the share price reaction to a mix of “design hate” and the classic market adage of “travel and arrive,” noting that Ferrari’s stock price had risen significantly ahead of Monday’s launch.
Anthony Dick, an auto analyst at Oddo BHF, said the stock price response is “by far the sharpest reaction we’ve seen for a car design — the market has spoken.”

I am not sure what they were thinking with this design. This does not scream Ferrari to me, or even luxury, or even "cool".

It doesn't look that bad if it was a Leaf deign.

For a Ferrari it's horrible.

People on X were posting much better designs that ChatGPT came up with in seconds...

my first thought was, "I guess Ferrari wants to be Nissan now?"

I mean electric is 1000 times better than fossil fuel for many reasons. Tesla goat. But why Ferrari blue not red and why not sport but commun car.. so many questions. They’ll all lose the battle against China.

EV drivetrain would be great if only it was in a reliable and nice car...Lucid is fairly nice but problem prone...

Sorry but Tesla is like sitting in a chevy malibu that has an ipad glued to the dashboard...just a sea of ugly plastic and fake leather uncomfortable seats, with annoying touchscreen everything
